Regional Democratic Party Organizations 

The vision of the Democratic Party of Sacramento County (DPSC) is to create a just society where all individuals are guaranteed personal freedom and economic security, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive and reach their full potential, as outlined in the platform of the Democratic Party.

The purpose of the DPSC is to advance this vision by organizing collective action through electoral and policymaking processes, working in collaboration with the partners and constituencies that form the foundation of the Democratic Party. Guided by this mission, the DPSC is committed to coordinating Democratic Party activities in Sacramento County under the leadership of the California Democratic Party.

The DPSC strives to elect Democrats to public office at all levels, advocate for Democratic Party values in public policy, and build and strengthen the foundation and operations of the Democratic Party. All members are expected to actively support and advance the vision, purpose, and mission of the DPSC.

Fem Dems of the Sacramento Region, as we strive to bring the principles of inclusion,
equality, and diversity to the forefront of democracy, do hereby ordain and establish these Bylaws
for the purpose of governing and guiding our unyielding efforts to establish representative equity
and the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes.

The Sacramento County Young Democrats pledge to pursue the ideas of liberty, justice, and freedom for all regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, country of origin, sexual orientation, sex, gender, or gender identity. Our purpose will be to stimulate in young people an active interest in government affairs, increase the efficiency of popular government, maintain the viability of our free institutions, and contribute to the growth and influence of the ideals and philosophy of the Democratic Party. 

 

Our mission is to empower and uplift the Latinx community by advocating for policies and leaders that reflect our values of equity, inclusivity, empowerment and advocacy. We are dedicated to advancing the social, economic, and political well-being of our community through education, grassroots and grasstops activism. Additionally, we elevate leaders who are committed to addressing the challenges of our community. By fostering unity and resilience, we strive to create a more just and equitable society where every voice is heard and every individual has the opportunity to thrive with dignity.

Our mission is clear: to support and elect leaders who are committed to advancing LGBTQ+ rights and fostering a more inclusive society.

At The Stonewall Democratic Club Of Greater Sacramento, we believe that representation matters. Our focus is on identifying, supporting, and electing candidates who align with our values and who will work tirelessly to promote policies that benefit all members of our community. We are dedicated to transforming our political landscape by actively participating in elections and ensuring that our voices are heard at every level of government.

The purpose of Wellstone Progressive Democrats of Sacramento shall be to work toward restoration of citizen ownership of our
democracy by mobilizing grassroots participation in the political process; to support
candidates and issues through a combination of education, community organizing, and
direct action at the local, state and national levels; to hold elected officials accountable to
the electorate; and to promote progressive policies.

Progressive policies include but are not limited to universal health care; human and civil
rights for all under the law; protection of our environment; fair trade; abolition of the
death penalty; and promoting fairness, peace, justice and sustainability within our
community, our state, our country and the world. The progressive guiding principles of
WPDS may be found in the Statement of Principles of the Progressive Caucus of the
California Democratic Party.

The mission of BWDSC (Black Women Democrats of Sacramento County) is to promote and expand the role of black women in politics and their engagement in the political process. We aim to facilitate understanding of and engagement in issues that concern and affect black women through support, advocacy, and ongoing educational programs. BWDSC also emphasizes maintaining cooperative relations and coordinating activities with other community and Democratic Party organizations. Additionally, BWDSC strives to  actively initiate and advocate for legislation that improves the civil, social, economic, and political status of black women. Overall, our mission encompasses empowering black women in politics, advocating for their concerns, collaborating with other organizations, and working towards legislative advancements for black women's well-being and equality.

Young Asian Pacific Islander Democrats Sacramento

The Young Asian Pacific Islander (API) American Sacramento Democrats shall focus its efforts on empowering the API community, increasing the political participation and representing the views of young API Democrats, reaching underrepresented communities, exploring intersectional API identities, and supporting the election of Democrats to public office.
